NDBL Coach to Train Hoop Hopefuls in Mexico
Aug. 2 -- Coach Austin Ainge of the NDBL's Portland Red Claws is headed to Mexico City, Mexico this week to help train some of the country's top, young basketball prospects.
Ainge will join other coaches and several NBA players contributing to the Basketball Without Borders program from Thursday to next Sunday. Training camps will also be held in Beijing, China and Johannesburg, South Africa.
This will be the second Basketball Without Borders stint for Ainge, who traveled to South Africa last year. Ainge, fluent in Spanish, said he's looking forward to this year's program in Mexico.
The Red Claws are an NBA development league team and Boston Celtics affiliate.
