Boston Celtics to Sign Shelden Williams

Aug. 5 -- Former Duke standout, Shelden Williams, was signed yesterday to an agreement by the Boston Celtics -- making them his fourth NBA team in four seasons.

Reports indicate that the club has reached an agreement with Williams on a one-year contract. It wasn't reported how much the contract is worth.

The 6-foot-9 Williams was the fifth overall pick by Atlanta in the 2006 NBA draft. He split last season between Sacramento and Minnesota, contributing an average of 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 45 games.

In 190 career games, Williams has averaged 4.7 points and 4.2 rebounds.
