Joey Dorsey Rejoins Rockets after NDBL Stint
Jan. 13 -- The Houston Rockets plan to bring their second-year center back from his stint in the NDBL Wednesday and will have him in uniform in time for their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In 16 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Dorsey averaged 14.9 points on a league-best 64.7 percent shooting. His 13.3 rebounds per game are second in the D-League.
"He did very well," Morey said. "He helped lead them to a 13-4 record, has been the best rebounder in the D-League and advanced in the areas we were hoping he would improve on. Were going into a stretch with a lot of strong rebounders, so having another big body could be important for us."
Forward Mike Harris, who was waived by the Rockets last week, rejoined the Vipers on Tuesday.
