NBA’s NJ Nets Sign Forward Joe Smith

Sept. 11 -- The NBA’s NJ Nets announced the signing of 35-year-old forward Joe Smith, after waiving Sean May less than a week ago. Smith played for the Hawks last season, and the Nets will be his 11th team in his 16th NBA season.

Smith is only one of 101 NBA players in history to play at least 1,000 regular season games. He was the #1 pick in the 1995 draft out of Maryland.
