NBA Jerseys Available for Xbox Avatars

Jan. 2 -- Recently Microsoft introduced NFL jerseys to the avatar marketplace, allowing gamers to express their admiration for their favorite pigskin team for $4. A significant number of Xbox Live fans took advantage of the deal, so it should come as no surprise that NBA jerseys can now be purchased for avatar adornment.

Xbox spokesman Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb sent a message via Twitter that NBA jerseys can be procured by Xbox Live users for $3--a dollar less than the NFL equivalent. Speculation is already taking place on the possible price for MLB clothing when it inevitably becomes available.

You can check out the selection of NBA avatar jerseys on Xbox.com. No projects have been made on how many NBA fans will purchase a jersey for their favorite team, but given the success of the NFL offerings, it would not be a surprise if the number was high.
